Causes of Contracting Failure: A Case Study of West Bank - Palestinian Territories

This paper describes the causes of construction firms’ failure based on 84 set of data collected in the West Bank – Palestinian National Authority .Data collection was based on personal interviews for filing questions. The personal interview, which is a face-to-face process, in which the respondents were asked questions with a brief explanation for the ideas and contents of questionnaire, was conducted. The questionnaire was divided into two main areas: the first was the company profile and the second was the factors that cause contractors failure. The factors that cause contractors failure were divided into five main groups which are management group, financial group, environmental group, expansion group, and political group. The rank and mean of main groups were presented. Each main group divided into sub factors, the rank and mean for each factor was calculated.
