An Experimental Test and Construction Simulation on the Long-Span Prestressed Concrete Girder
An experimental study was carried out in order to investigate the ductility and the ultimate capacity of a 60m long-span prestressed concrete girder, which has been developed by Expressway & Transportation Research Institute, Korea Expressway Corporation. High-strength concrete of 60MPa was used for the actual size test specimen, and the workability of the prestressed concrete girder was verified by the simulation of the construction process. It was also found that behavior of the prestressed concrete girder was fully safe under the service load. Through the structural test up to the ultimate load, the experimental results agree well with those of the design.
