At present study Endurance Time (ET) method that is new dynamic pushover procedure is introduced and its application in linear analysis of concrete arch dams is investigated. In this method the structure is subjected to gradually intensifying acceleration functions and its performance is evaluated based on the length of the time interval that it can satisfy required performance criteria under the natural earthquake records. For this purpose 203m DEZ high concrete arch dam was selected as case study. For considering FSI effect, reservoir was modeled as compressible. Moreover for considering flexible foundation, soil was modeled as massless. FE model of the considered system was exited in three operational levels as MCL, MDL, DBL using six records which are scaled based on design spectrum of the site and results were compared whit those that gained from ET methods. Result of ET method in equivalent target time can predict the maximum of natural records in their total time. Extracted results are displacement, velocity and acceleration of crest point in crown cantilever and also the non-concurrent envelopes of US/DS displacement, velocity and acceleration within central cantilever. The results were shown that using ET method can reduce at least 50% in number of analysis and 70% in total time of analysis. Furthermore it was found that although the result of the ET analysis are not exactly consistent with the result of real ground motion analysis, but errors are in acceptable range and ET can identify performance levels of dam with high accuracy.
