Effect of Lignosulfonate on Mechanical and Setting Time Properties of Geopolymer Paste
The effect of lignosulfonate as admixture on geopolymer paste compared to normal cement paste were investigated to understand I) the sensitivity of the performance of lignosulfonate to geopolymer, II) the effect of incresing amount of lignosulfonate on mechanical properties, III) the effect of inceresing amount of lignosulfonate on setting time and viscosity properties in pastes.
The experimental work was perfomed according to laboratory experimental design, so that the results could accurately be analysed using multivariate data analysis.
The mechanical properties were tested by measuring compressive strength and the setting time were tested by Vicat Needle and the viscosity properties were investigated by measuring in geopolymer paste using Brookfield digital viscometer model LVDV-E.
